Water Damage Drywall Repair
Done Right from The Inside Out

Water-damaged drywall isn't just a cosmetic problem. It's a structural and health issue that has to be resolved correctly — or it comes back. We do it right the first time.

You Can't Just Cover It Up

Water damage to drywall is deceptive. What you see on the surface — a stain, a bubble, a soft spot — is almost never the full picture. By the time visible damage appears, moisture has already traveled through the drywall and in many cases into the framing, insulation, or wall cavity behind it.

The most common mistake: Painting over or skimming over water-damaged drywall without addressing the source of moisture and removing affected material. The result looks fine for a few weeks — then stains bleed through, surfaces bubble, and in some cases mold begins to develop behind the wall. We don't take shortcuts.

Our water damage repair process is designed to solve the problem completely — from identifying the source to delivering a finished, texture-matched surface that is ready for paint and backed by our written warranty.

Our Water Damage Repair Process

1

Assess & Identify the Source

We begin by identifying the source of the moisture — a roof leak, AC condensation, plumbing failure, or window intrusion. We do not begin repairs until the source is confirmed resolved. Repairing drywall over an active leak is money wasted.

2

Remove All Affected Material

We remove drywall that is saturated, structurally compromised, or at risk for mold growth — going beyond the visible damage to ensure we've cleared all affected material. We do not skim over soft or questionable drywall.

3

Verify Dry Conditions

Before installing new drywall, we verify that the framing, insulation, and cavity behind the wall are dry. If insulation needs to be replaced, we document this clearly so you can coordinate that work before we close the wall.

4

Install, Tape, and Finish

New drywall is cut, fitted, and secured. Joints are taped, mudded, and feathered. We apply the correct number of coats to achieve a flat, seamless surface — no shortcuts on the compound work that determines your final finish quality.

5

Texture Match

We match your existing texture — whether it's orange peel, knockdown, smooth, skip trowel, or something custom. The repair area blends invisibly with the surrounding wall. We inspect under raking light before we consider the job complete.

6

Clean Up & Warrant

We remove all materials, debris, and dust control equipment. Your space is left clean. Your one-year written warranty begins the day we complete the job — covering defects in our workmanship, not future water events.

What Brings Clients to Us

AC Condensation

Clogged condensate drain lines are one of the most frequent causes of ceiling water damage in DFW homes. The damage typically appears directly below the air handler as a ring-shaped stain.

Roof Leaks

Storm damage, failed flashing, or aging shingles allow water to travel into attic space and down through ceiling drywall. Damage often appears far from the actual roof penetration point.

Plumbing Failures

Burst pipes, slow leaks behind walls, and supply line failures create water damage that can be extensive by the time it's discovered. We work with plumbers regularly on joint repair projects.
